Wolfmother - Joker & The Thief Cover

27 02 2008

Jup, it’s here. The first vid of me playing guitar out on the big evil internet.  The intro is a bit out of sync but I couldn’t get it more perfect then what it is right now. Blame my iMovie skills for that :) Enjoy!

Why I HAVE to go to Pinkpop 2008.

20 02 2008

So I live in the south bit of the Netherlands, which isn’t that bad at all, but when it comes to music concerts and stuff I have to travel more than the actual duration of a concert because I have to to Tilburg, where the 013 lies, or to Amsterdam, where the Heineken Music Hall is located.

BUT, once a year there is the pinkpop festival in landgraaf. And the line-up of this year is absolutely my thing. They could’ve taken my iTunes library and picked the artists from there. So I am definitely going. And since of yesterday, I few of my friends are coming along to. Damn it’s going to be such a party :D Anyway, here’s the line-up until now:

Foo Fighters, Metallica, Incubus, Rage Against the Machine, Queens of the Stone Age, Kaiser Chiefs, Counting Crows, The Verve, The Hives, Groove Armada, KT Tunstall, Bad Religion, Editors, Flogging Molly, Justice, Porcupine Tree, Gavin DeGraw, Chris Cornell, Kate Nash, Alter Bridge, Roisin Murphy, Serj Tankian, The Wombats, Saybia, Pete Murray, Racoon, Patrick Watson, Novastar, Fiction Plane, Moke, Cavalera Conspiracy, Sat2D

Wooohooo!

30 Seconds to Mars Concert!

11 02 2008

Last Saturday I went to the 30 Seconds to Mars concert in the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam. After a long trip of about 2.5 hours, we we’re finally standing in line and waiting on a friend that would have the tickets. Half-way there.. no tickets. In front of the line.. Still no tickets. We decided to get out of the line and wait a while. The concert would start at 20:00 but 30 Secs would start at 21:45. So time enough. So about 20:00 we we’re finally inside and the fun could begin :D

Juno!

8 02 2008

JunoLast week I saw a movie called Juno. In the newspaper it’s called a comedy but I’d rather call it a dramatic comedy instead :P. Yeah, I can hear you thinking: “What the (#&&)!@* has this to do with music?” Err, well, The father-to-be in this movie likes music a lot, and because of this Juno and he jam a little bit together and they will talk a lot about about music as the movie goes along.

Juni happens to be playing in a band and the movie is really full of eyewinks to various artists and music styles. So stop reading and go see the movie!

You’re a part time lover and a full time friend
A monkey on your back is the latest trend
I don’t see what anyone can see, In anyone else
But you…

Hi There!

7 02 2008

One of these days I was thinking about something that had to do with music. That isn’t very obvious because practicly everyday in my life has to do with music, I listen to it, play it on guitar and like to go to concerts, read about it on the net and stuff like that.

So my thoughts where wandering off and I thought.. why not write all these thoughts and things into a blog? I really don’t know if someone could care about the things I’m thinking, but I guess we will find out soon enough.

So I can hear you thinking, what kind of music to listen to? Well it vary’s quite a lot, but the mainstream I listen to is rock and everything that has to do with it.  You can take a look at my Last.FM profile to see more of the music I listen to. Enough with the talking already, I hope at least someone is going to enjoy my writings.C ya!
