Last Saturday I went to the 30 Seconds to Mars concert in the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam. After a long trip of about 2.5 hours, we we’re finally standing in line and waiting on a friend that would have the tickets. Half-way there.. no tickets. In front of the line.. Still no tickets. We decided to get out of the line and wait a while. The concert would start at 20:00 but 30 Secs would start at 21:45. So time enough. So about 20:00 we we’re finally inside and the fun could begin
The first band in the line-up was called makebelieve and the guys we’re pretty good. After that there was a weird band called full duplex, but I found them to be really dissapointing. Time to get some beers there
After that, we moved to the front and waited a bit for the sh*t to get loose. At the beginning of the show there was a white sheet hanging in front of the stage and after the opera-like intro you could see the shadows of the band on the sheet. Everybody got crazy. It isn’t really describable (does that word even exist :-|?) in words, so here’s a vid:
After that everybody got wild and I really enjoyed every minute, despite of the fact that the metro says it sucked. I don’t give a sh*t! Here is another vid of the most beautiful part of the gig for me:
After the rough stuff, Jared did a couple of numbers acoustic, which was also really cool. The one that got to me the most was “A modern myth”, it’s a kind of crappy vid but here is it anyway:
The last song was the fantasy where Jared decided to get absolutely mad, and ordered the crowd to do the same. Loved every bit of it <3.
